Häagen-Dazs

Reuben Mattus, the founder of Haagen-Dazs, started out in 1921 by selling his mother’s homemade lemonade on a horse carriage in the streets of Poland. The family emigrated to the US in 1932 and he started his empire by selling homemade ice cream. Today, Haagen-Dazs operates over 1200 shops in over 70 cities, and is the most recognized name in the Super Premium ice cream category.

Nisfud is the Master Franchisee and distributor of Haagen-Dazs in Turkey since 2006, and has been responsible for the development and brand building of the products in the retail market as well as managing the two shop locations. Haagen-Dazs ice cream contains no food coloring, no emulsifiers, no preservatives, no additives and no sweeteners. All the ingredients used in the ice cream come from various regions of the world where the highest quality of the product can be sourced.

Crayfish

Nisfud operates a production facility near the Egirdir Lake where the highest quality crayfish in Turkey can be found in the nearby lakes. Nisfud produces a wide variety of crayfish dishes in this world-class facility and all of the production is being exported to the Scandinavian countries. Crayfish spent an average of 5 years to properly develop and grow, after which they are fished out and sent to the facility to undergo calibration, cooking, and cooling procedures.

Frozen products are then vacuum sealed and palletized while keeping the cold chain intact for transport. Nisfud exports over 300 tons of crayfish yearly, the majority of which goes to Sweden.
